The possibility of application of laser carbon steel for railway transport wheels manufacturing surface alloying with spherical tungsten carbides WC was considered. Experiments showed that volume part of reinforcing particles could reach 58 % when laserpowder alloying is applied. In the same time, if volume par of WC is exceeds 16 % cracks on the surface are observed.

Kurilkin V. V., Saykov I. V., Malakhov A. Yu., Shchykin A. S., Berdychenko А. А. — Study of the compound boundary structure in a bimetal steel 08Cr18Ni10T + vanadium VnPd-1 + titanium VT1-0 at the action of explosion energy

The effectiveness of using a barrier layer of vanadium in a bimetallic composition consists of stainless steel 08Cr18Ni10T + vanadium VnPd-1 + titanium VT1-0 obtained by explosion welding meant to prevent the formation of an intermetallic interlayer under the effect of different temperatures was investigated. The evolution of the near-weld zone was investigated by analysis with scanning electron microscope of microsections from samples heated at 600, 700, 800 and 900 °C with 1, 3, 5 and 10 hours exposures. The researches indicated that the barrier layer of vanadium reliably prevents mutual diffusion between steel and titanium at high temperatures, thus eliminating the formation of intermetallic compounds in the adjacent zone. The limit of the barrier layer effectiveness was determined.

Maksimov Е. А., Ustinovskiy E. P. — Improving the quality of a thick plate at straightening on a roller-type correct machine equipped with a device for bending the front end

The design of a straightening machine (RPM) equipped with a device for bending the front end of the sheet is presented. The sheet straightening on such machine can improve the quality of the straightened sheets. A methodology for calculating the frame parameters of the device for bending the front end of the sheet during its correction on the RPM is developed.
The stresses in the upper cross-member and the base of the device frame are determined at carrying out laboratory studies by means of a polarizing-optical method.

The process is considered and relationships are proposed for calculating the modes of isothermal direct extrusion of pipeline parts. The material of the preforms is viscoplastic when deformed. The energy calculation method is applied to the discontinuous field of displacement velocities. Technological data and product samples are given.

The technological residual macrotension arising in the course of production of responsible and expensive products of mechanical engineering by methods of cutting or processing of metals pressure defines their quality, a resource and reliability in use.
At design and production of products of responsible appointment as one of the regulated parameters which are specified in design-technology documentation the level of residual macrotension is. In the conditions of mass production of products from ferromagnetic materials application of a method of registration of noise of Barkgauzen is expedient. This method allows to determine residual macrotension. In article influence of the modes of cutting on the level of the magnetonoise Barkgauzena parameter and its interrelation with the level of residual macrotension is investigated. In work: influence of the modes of machining of steel 38KhN3MFA (GOST 4543—71) on the size of the magnetonoise Barkgauzena parameter is investigated. Dependences of change of size of magnetonoise parameter for steel 38KhN3MFA at various modes of cutting are experimentally received. The dependence of size of magnetonoise parameter on the cutting modes — giving and speeds of cutting is established.

Determined that with increasing length of contact butt welding of the waveguide linearly increases the speed and performance of seam welding. The use of low-power piezoelectric transducers for ultrasonic welding of polymer films with bilateral extraction of energy from the transducer improves the performance and efficiency of the welding process.

Shtennikov B. N. — Thermal characteristics of soldering rods

The influence of the thermophysical characteristics of the material of the soldering rod on its thermal characteristics. The corresponding analytical dependence. Mapped: the decline of temperature during the soldering and heating time soldering after soldering rods made of different materials. On the basis of the conducted research the conclusion about the inappropriateness of the replacement of copper for silver soldering rods.

Based on the submissions of kinetic concepts of strength of solids obtained mathematical model linking the time before the destruction of the basic volume of material cutting tool with the parameters of acoustic emission waves in non-stationary machining conditions at a given level of existing loads and temperatures, the use of which in the real conditions of the process of machining allows you to find the relationship between input and output processing options and develop Express-methods of rational selection and machining of parts of complex shape of hard-machinable materials.
