Basic laser processes which may be applied in the production of synthetic opals and nanocomposite on their base are considered. A concise description of the processes, comparison with the present processes, and probable results of the laser radiation influence on the synthetic opals and nanocomposite on their base are covered.

Deryabin I. P., Pavlyuchuk S. I. — Drill chisel edge effect on errors of the obtainable holes

Problems of selecting parameters for twist drill sharpening aimed at chisel edge reduction are under consideration. Cutting part geometry shortcomings featuring the cutter are described. Examples of web thinning of different forms used in practice, as well as methodology and results of full-scale experiments carried out under real-life plant conditions are given.

Chepchurov M. S., Tyurin A. V. — Flats performing by automatic turning lathe

Complex polysurfaces’ production on automatic turning machines is considered. Research results make it possible to manufacture components with flats on automatic turning lathes. The suggested decisions ensure productivity gain of the rebuilt equipment used in mass production.

Arrangement and purpose of the main units in domestic wire electrical discharge machine designed in the State Engineering Centre of the STANKIN Moscow State University of Technology are covered. A brief comparative analysis of foreign analogues is carried out. A standard layout drawing of a modern wire EDM is given.

Ànalysis of possibilities of mechanical machining in technological processes of modern production was carried out and pointed out the way of extending these possibilities — intrusion of ultra speed cutting. Realization of the method of ultra speed cutting in production will increase quality of manufactured products and capacity of technological processes.

TOOLING PRODUCTION

Popov V. Yu., Yanyushkin A. S. — Examination of the diamond wheels’ surfaces after combined electrodiamond machining of high-speed steel

Issues of practical applications of combined electrodiamond machining are considered. Discharge intensity of the diamond grinders depending on the current density of dressing and etching is estimated. Processing conditions ensuring stable self-sharpening of the diamond grinders during the grinding process and simultaneous quality improvement of the work surface and excluding dressing operations are determined. It is corroborated that diamond tool may be efficiently used at processing tooling materials of wide spectrum.

The article is an attempt to compare the main features of plasma, laser and water jet cutting methods and punching of structural materials used in electronics. Each of the above methods has its own operational fundamentals, hut since they have a common field of application, those methods are indeed competitors. This research paper describes major advantages and disadvantages of these methods.

Korotayeva M. A., Grigoryants A. G., Alekhnovich V. I. — Refractometry of scattering medium

Origin causes of one of the refractometry measurement problems, i.e. light-shadow boundary blurring when working with heterogeneous scattering substances, are considered. A method allowing not only to take into account influence of the measured substance dispersion, but also use data on distortion caused by suspended particles, in order to obtain information on their structures and properties is offered.

Lotorevich Ye. A. — Spatial visual composition maxims of analytical models represented in voxel graphic space

Development of systems of analytical modeling assumes offer the computer geometrical models with the most exact submission of geometrical characteristics for methods of engineering calculation. The problem of presentation of analytical modeling leads to the solution of problems of visual configuration of graphic representation of such models. The most convenient graphic representation for the analytical model, received broad application in systems of analytical modeling is voksel graphic representation. In work the basic principles of spatial visual configuration of the analytical models displayed in voksel graphic space are considered.
