Krivoshapko S. N. — About parabolic bending of a flat metal sheet into a torso structure

The review article contains information on the use of thin-walled torso structures, their shaping by using parabolic bending of thin flat metal sheets or initial torso blanks, the technology of their bending, taking into account the physical and mechanical characteristics of the material and determining the stress-strain state in the finished torso product obtained during the parabolic bending process. The information given in the article primary sources and references to the literature is bolstered with, where the derivation of the formulas presented in the article are given, which are confirmed by numerical and field experiments. It noted that all theorems and propositions related to parabolic bending of torso surfaces attitudes to real torso products only approximately.
The purpose of the article is to familiarize engineers and designers who design and manufacture torso structures in nature by the method of parabolic bending of a metal sheet blank with the theoretical research results of this process. Methods for bending research grounded mainly on the principles of differential geometry, shell structural mechanics and the plasticity theory.

Erenkov O. Yu., Lopushanskiy I. Ya., Yavorskaya E. V., Yavorskiy D. O. — Investigation of caprolon turning by using a lubricating and cooling technological medium

The article presents the results of experimental studies of caprolon turning with the cutting fluid use. It is scientifically substantiated the use of an aqueous emulsion with the addition of a water repellent during caprolon turning as a cutting fluid. On this basis a new method for turning caprolon blanks was developed and patented. An experimentally established fact is that the water absorption capacity of caprolon is reduced in the case of its turning with the feeding of an aqueous emulsion of potassium palmitate to the cutting zone. In this case, the turning of caprolon in the traditional way leads to the activation of the process of water absorption. It has been experimentally proved that caprolon turning with the feeding of an aqueous emulsion of potassium palmitate into the cutting zone provides a better machined surface of the part in comparison with the traditional method of turning. This is evidenced by a more uniform deviation profile of the depressions and protrusions of the treated surface and the numerical values of the roughness parameters.
The results of microstructural studies of caprolon shavings are presented. It has been established experimentally that turning caprolon using an aqueous emulsion of potassium palmitate promotes the formation of continuous drainage chips. Turning caprolon in the traditional way leads to the formation of articular shavings.

SPECIAL TECHNOLOGY

Ponamarev K. Е., Strelnikov I. V., Antonov А. А., Kapustin О. Е. — Analysis of various types vibration processing of aluminum welded structures

Responsible welded structures that have sufficient accuracy after machining, as a result of natural aging, may receive unacceptable changes in geometric dimensions and shape. Heat treatment is a traditional technology that provides forced accelerated relaxation of residual stresses. Currently, as an alternative, advanced vibration processing technology is being introduced into the industry. This technology has its advantages of efficiency, minimal energy consumption, short technological cycle time and environmental friendliness. However, given the variety of methods of vibration processing, the question of their optimal application remains open. To solve this problem, an assessment of the effectiveness of various methods of vibration treatment of welded joints of aluminum alloys, both in terms of the values of residual stresses, and the manufacturability of performance and control capabilities.
