Gavrilin I. N., Doubrovsky S. A. — Use of exchange and stock indicators in process forecasting problems illustrated by an example of basic oxygen melting

State estimation method of a converter bath by oxygen lancing process is developed including prediction of gas-slag-metal emulsion emission through vessel mouth. The method is based on exchange and stock indicators. Feasible fields of their practical use are investigated. Various behavioral prediction models of converter bath current state are worked out. Principal trend types (motion) of decarbonization-rate curve at different melting phases are determined.

Lazarev D. Ye., Nasad T. G. — Analysis of burr occurrence at holemaking in corrosion-resistant steel parts

The control chart for prediction of burr type and size in drilling process of stainless steel was developed. With the proposed chart can predict the type and size of the burr at given values of feed and cutting speed and thus may improve quality and reduce processing holes the negative factor — burr formation during the drilling process.

Boulkov A. B., Safonov S. V., Balbekov D. N., Petrenko V. R., Peshkov V. V. — Effect of surface microgeometry on kinetics of contact development at diffusion welding of titanium

Test results of the titanium samples with model asperities simulate real surface roughness showed that factors influencing on the development of welding process and quality of the diffused joint arc microstructure of the workpiеce and surface finish. It is established that some constant having time dimension can be used as integral characteristic of contact development between the joinable workpieces under conditions of diffusion welding.

Ivanov A. M., Petrova N. D. — Abrasive wear resistance of steel subjected to equal-ported angular pressing

An estimation of gas abrasion wear resistance of steel Ст3сп subjected to equal-ported angular pressing (EPAP) is considered. It is shown that formation of close-grained steel Ст3сп by EPAP, which improves strength and hardness, ensures higher wear resistance of material in air-abrasive flow.

Karpov I. V., Ushakov A. V., Lepeshev A. A. — Processing characteristics investigation of nanopowder TiN, synthesized in arc low-pressure discharge plasma

Investigation results of basic processing characteristics of nanopowders TiN, synthesized in arc low-pressure discharge plasma are covered. It is established that apparent density of nanopowder TiN is 0,05 g/sm3, compression ratio makes up 60 % of the theoretical one, initial sintering temperature is 420 K.

Owing to maintenance of oven aggregates on gear pair operate cyclic and the dynamic loads leading to destruction of working surfaces. The machine tool is developed for restoration of large-sized tooth gear without dismantle from the aggregate, allowing considerably to reduce a run time, to diminish labour input, to lower expenditures that will allow to let out in addition production, consequently, will lower its cost price at the expense of down time reduction under repair.
