Sarayev Yu. N., Bezborodov V. P., Grigoryeva A. A., Golikov N. I., Dmitriyev V. V., Sannikov I. I. — Residual stress distribution in welds of steel 09Г2С by adaptive impulse arc welding methods 

Research results of the influence of adaptive impulse arc welding conditions on mechanical properties and residual welding stress distribution of the welded joints of plates from the low-alloy steel 09Г2С are described. It is established that under pulse welding conditions impact resistance of the weld metal at negative temperature is higher as compared to steady-state conditions and compressive residual welding stress is revealed.

The results of experimental work on the testing of electron beam welding of workpieces of large cross-section of the alloy ВЖ172, finding the optimal conditions of heat treatment of the weld site, data studies of the mechanical properties of the welded joint, the microstructure of the weld and base metal.

Lebedev V. A. — Mechanized and automatic synergic welding with pulse wire feed

New trends in organization of synergic dip transfer process (with regular short circuits) using controllable pulse wire feed are considered. Several synergic control procedures of the welding process with controlled short circuits are suggested.

Terentyev Ye. V., Dragunov V. K., Sliva A. P., Scherbakov A. V. — Welding rate effect on weld seam formation at electron-beam through penetration welding

The conditions for the free formation of electron-beam welding seams at the lower position with a through-penetration are discussed and also dynamic model of the liquid metal flowing from the root of the molten pool is considered. During this flowing at the initial time metal is moving with an acceleration downward, but as a heat source is moving, the acceleration decreases because of reducing the width of the seam due to the crystallization and increasing the surface tension forces. The calculation method, which allows to determine the minimum speed of welding at which the seams may be formed without top understatement, is proposed.

Karguin V. A., Tikhomirova L. B., Galay M. S., Kuznetsova Ye. S. — Performance parameters enhancement of joints obtained by aluminothermic welding

Metallographic examination results of railing welded joints, carried out by aluminothermic welding are presented. Measurement data of aluminothermic welds’ hardness showed midrange of weld hardness as 240—290 НВ. According to technical specifications 0921-127-01124323—2005 the hardness value does not completely meet the requirements of the least hardness indexes.

The article is an attempt to compare the main features of plasma, laser and water jet cutting methods and punching of structural materials used in electronics. Each of the above methods has its own operational fundamentals, hut since they have a common field of application, those methods are indeed competitors. This research paper describes major advantages and disadvantages of these methods.
