Research results of the various-depth hair line effect on the strength properties of the rail steel М76 at static, cyclic and impact load are provided. A suggested model of surface defect as an electroerosion notch is adequately similar to hair lines and allows considerably reduce laboriousness of the testing and pre-test costs. Irrespective of the test category hairline cracks are less hard stress concentrators then the studied artificial flaws.

Gorbunov A. S., Makarov V. F. — Influence of the helical bevel gears processing sequence on the residual stress distribution and on the amount of the teeth surface layers strain hardening

Research results of the influence of the helical bevel gears processing sequence on the amount and distribution of the residual stress and cold hardening of the teeth surface layers are provided. Graphs of residual stress distribution along the gash depth of the helical bevel gears are obtained as well as graphs of surface microhardness distribution depending on the depth. Techniques of increasing helical bevel gears’ fatigue resistance are offered.

Pikalov Yu. A., Pikalov Ya. Yu., Broungardt M. V. — Static behaviour optimization of the adaptive hydrostatic spindle bearing

Static behaviour research and optimization results of new adaptive hydrostatic spindle bearings featuring simple production-friendly construction and high performance criteria are covered. Mathematical model, computation algorithm and bearing load and energy characteristic optimization method are described. In the novel method of multivariate optimization a priority system allowing finding parameter optimal combination for concrete working conditions of the bearing is used.

Possibility of nanotechnology application when manufacturing components for the purposes of the engineering industry/ including components for rocket space technology is analysed. Diamond-cluster coating procedure of the gear active face by galvanic method is offered. Results of the metallographic examinations and tests of the parts included into the product are provided.

Analysis results of the operating principle of a number of linear electromagnetic motors featuring generalities of the similar engine groups are covered. Requirements set for the linear electromagnetic motors to be used as power machines of different purposes are worked out.

TESTING AND DIAGNOSTICS METHODS IN ENGINEERING INDUSTRY

Varlamov D. P., Steklov O. I. — Multiple intratubal defectoscopy of the gas main system of two climatic regions of Russia

Stress corrosion cracking imperfections and anomalies of the ring welded joints on the lengthy multistrand system of gas-main pipelines in two climatically different regions of Russia, i.e. in Western Siberia and Central region are considered. It is shown that a great number of welds anomalies is risky for the safe operation of the gas main system not only as a probability of weld fracture but also as forming complementary factor for stress corrosion cracking imperfections initiation and progress in the intersection zone of longitudinal and ring welded joints.

Andreyev A. G., Dubovetsky B. O., Zverev I. A. — Complex calculation analysis of the characteristics of spindle assemblies on rolling-contact bearing when designing them

A general approach to modelling spindle assemblies on rolling-contact bearing is provided and complex calculation analysis necessity of their designing data is validated. Fundamentals accepted at developing a spindle assembly complex model which combines particular models, such as elastic deformation, dynamic, heat models and bearing life model are described. An application suite is developed in the standard system MATLAB. Operability comparative analysis results of the spindle assemblies’ standard constructions are covered.

The technology of dry cutting constructional materials with indemnification of the cutting fluid physical functions, including nanostructural coated carbide tool, system of ionization of the gas media submitted to a zone of cutting, and also the device for generation of the tangential ultrasonic vibration putting to the cutting tool is considered.

Yurin V. N., Malikov S. B. — Concurrent work execution risks management at aero-engine parts’ design and experimental process engineering

Issues of concurrent work execution risks management at aero-engine parts design and preproduction engineering (DPPE) are considered. Design and preproduction engineering documentation correlation is analyzed. Cause-and-effect relations of the each type of the raw data are determined. Laboriousness of changing engineering solution and reforming DPPE-documents is assessed. Rating of factors reducing probability of changing raw data of the DPPE-work done earlier is received.

Effectiveness scoring system of engineering documents circulation functioning is suggested illustrated by an example of tool production. The system is implemented on the base of hierarchical object-oriented simulation model using TD ABC-method; and it uses integral cost factor as a finite efficiency index.
