A high wearing capacity growth (as of 20 times) of the carriage bogie contact surface is obtained after small hardness increase. This is due to hardened case nanostructuring under the influence of plasma arc with fragmentation at the level of 50—80 nm.

Calculation procedure of cut-off layers’ dimensions at wheel hobbing is covered. The procedure is based on the semigraphical method of the cut-off layers’ dimensions calculation and is developed up to solid modelling using up-to-date CAD-systems.

Constructive and processing features of hemispheric solid-drawn thin-walled metal shells manufacturing from low-plastic hardly-deformed alloys by the method of plastic heading tool over rigid die block is considered. Results of the process finite element modelling and design methods of the process steps at die forming are given.

Boyko A. F. — Special features of the electrical erosion mechanism when using ultrashort current pulse

Open new mechanism of the additional metal removing from overheated surface erosive small holes in hard phase by explosive flow metallic pair, thrown from small hole after decline of the short impulse of the current. This scientific fact complements phenomenologist model of the electric erosion mechanism by B. N. Zolotyh new way of the removing the metal from electrode.

Kudoyarov R. G., Basharov R. R. — Computational method for determination mechanical trajectory of the centre line of work spindle at high-velocity manufacturing

Mechanical trajectory design and modelling procedures of an electrical spindle centre line are developed, which takes into consideration effect of basic static and dynamic parameters of the spindle. The procedures may be used to predict tool relative motion path in order to determine efficient cutting conditions and to work out recommendations on upgrading electrical spindle construction.

Issues of cutting tool wear control are considered on the base of thermodynamic description of high-speed cutting features. An algorithm and procedure of cutter operability improvement by criterion of thermodynamic equilibrium of cutting operation are suggested.

Saving rate and urgency of the ion-vacuum nitriding strengthening technology application are revealed.

A construction of mechanical oscillator and research results using electromagnetic field theory are covered. Also an analytical relationship for determining up-thrust electromagnetic force is obtained and experimentally confirmed on the electromagnetic accelerator.

Kladnitskiy I. G. — Closed "uniform-measure"

State-of-the-art mechanisms, which convert uniform rotary motion to reciprocating one, have essential fault: progressive motion both direct and backward is non-uniform. This is prohibitive in the operation of many mechanisms, specifically of mechanisms realizing an electrode swinging at machine welding and deposition. Plotting, geometrical calculation and kinematic properties of the smooth curve, called (termed) closed “uniform-measure”, allowing for eliminating above mentioned shortcoming are covered.

Laws of distribution of high-altitude parameter of a roughness and residual pressure of the first sort in a superficial layer of a cavity of the case turbo-pump aggregate are presented at it vibratory percussion hardening. Results received by means of computer modelling.
