S. — Features of the structure formation and mechanical properties of welded joints of an aluminum alloy AMg5M manufactured by using a consumable electrode at different welding speeds and the butt spatial position 

The dependence of the structure and mechanical properties of the AMg5M alloy welded joints from the butt spatial position relative to the horizontal plane when welding with a consumable electrode is studied. Welded joints optimal properties of assemblies or structural elements for given alloy in installation conditions can be achieved by placing joints at an angle of 30 degrees relative to the horizontal plane. It is conditioned by the formation of a fine-grained structure of the weld metal and the favorable character of the precipitates distribution, their size, and also the degree of defectiveness.

Shiganov I. N., Melnikov D. M., Zo Ye Myat — Effect of laser impact treatment on the properties of aluminum alloys welded joints

The features of formation of structure of welded joints of heat-treatable and not treatable aluminium alloys in the conditions of laser welding. Shows the structural difference of the weld and the transition zone from the core material and effects on strength of welded joints.
To increase the strength of welded joints is proposed to use laser shock processing. The results of studies on the influence of the understanding of the modes of laser shock processing on microhardness of welded compounds of the aluminum alloy.

The growth kinetics of micropores in the selective laser alloying (SLA) AlSi10Mg over a wide range of annealing temperatures and micropores influence on the density and mechanical properties change of the initial alloy are considered. The possibility of a significant controlled increase of the ductility and toughness is noted.

Trushnikov D. N. — High-frequency oscillations of the secondary current in the plasma during electron beam processing of materials

The paper describes the results of studies aimed to identifying of the nature of the of plasma high-frequency oscillations detected at the electron beam processing. It is found that the secondary current fluctuations caused by thermionic processes penetration channel, are modulated by self-oscillations in the plasma. The probability of the oscillation increases with increasing magnitude of the secondary current in the plasma. The observed instabilities have ion-acoustic nature, and their frequency depends on the position of the measuring electrode — collector mounted above the welding zone. The existence of these self-oscillating processes must be taken into account when the methods of operational control of electron beam processing are developed.

A prognostic model to appraise the quality of high-frequency welding of plastics is suggested.
Presented in formalized view the model corresponds to the solution of optimal through the depth of the material temperature distribution problem due to welding process and reverberates the data-processing relationship between the welding joint quality characteristics of components of various thickness with the regime parameters of welding, i.e. the electric field intensity, the temperature of working condenser, the time of welding.

Volkov S. S., Konovalov А. V., Kurkin А. S. — Development of a technology for removing residual stresses and deformations in the welded joint zone by using the ultrasonic vibrations

The studies in the article indicate the possibility of usage of ultrasonic fluctuation as a method of removing residual tensions and improving the quality of welded joints. The existing methods for eliminating residual tensions were analyzed. The shape and material of the waveguide — a tool with the hammer mechanism of a spherical shape were chosen. It was shown that ultrasonic treatment of the welded joint area reduces the deformation degree more than twice.

Krivonosova Е. А. — Corrosion failure features of the chromium-nickel stainless steels welding joints

In this article the features of the welded joint corrosion failure of chromium-nickel steels of austenitic and austenitic-ferritic structural class when working in a corrosive environment of highly concentrated NaCl and KCl salts are researched. The assessment data of resistance to corrosion cracking at stress are systemized according to the method of a salt solution drop evaporation. Conclusions are given on the choice of welding materials enabling to the minimum possible corrosion damage of welded seams of the potash production technological equipment.

Gurkin S. V., Kobernik N. V., Mikheev R. S., Kremlev S. S., Gontsa A. V. — Features of the antifriction coatings formation on the grounds of babbitt alloys at the plasma deposition

The article is devoted to the plasma-powder deposition process of antifriction coatings based on babbit. The main attention is paid to pore formation in the metal deposit, as well as the adhesion strength of the coating with the steel substrate. Two methods for evaluation the porosity of the metal deposit are considered: "by slice" and "by mass". The advantage of the porosity evaluation method "by slice" is shown, which allows the pores distribution evaluation over the depth of metal deposit and their dimensions. The influence of the pulsed deposition regime and the sublayer presence on the pore formation is studied. The possibility of influence on the porosity of the metal deposit by means of the regimes selection (through the current asymmetry coefficient) (on the size, number and distribution of pores in the metal deposit) is established. In addition, the necessity of using a sublayer, which reduces the porosity and increases the adhesion strength of the coating to the steel substrate, is substantiated.
