Ilyin A. A., Skvortsova S. V., Dzunovich D. A., Panin P. V., Shalin A. V. — Effect of thermal and thermomechanical treatment parameters on texture formation in sheet in-process goods from titanium alloys

Plastic deformation and heat treatment influence on texture formation of different classes of titanium alloys was investigated and estimate of texture influence on mechanical properties was carried out. It was shown that due to the existence of orientation relation between α- and β-phases the β-phase texture formed after plastic deformation or heat treatment exert important influence on formation of α-phase texture as a result of β → α-transformation.

Kontorovich I. V., Smykov A. F., Moiseyev V. S. — Freon-134a-inoculation of the magnesium alloy of the Mg—Al—Zn-system

One of the prospective schools of alloy inoculation is a magnesium melt blow-off by carbon-bearing gas. Freon-134a is suggested to be used as a conditioning agent. Tolerable inoculating properties of freon-134a are confirmed by research results. Possibility of harmful substances ingress into the working area air may be excluded if optimize the method and specify the required quantity of freon in the mixture and its blow-off duration.

Galkin V. I., Paltiyevich A. R., Galkin Ye. V. — Finite-element-based modelling method of metal structure and properties prediction in the process of hot plastic deformation

Prognostication of metallographic structure and mechanical properties of metallic materials after hot plastic deformation is one of the main tasks. The present CAE-systems determine mode of deformation, temperature and strain rate distribution, but they are unable to response definitely on the mechanical and performance properties of the obtainable product. The suggested method allows to unite pattern of deflected mode after hot plastic deformation with the formed grain structure and volume distribution of the strength properties in the obtained article.

A brief analysis of the present state in the field of creating equipment for ion-plasma coating in engineering and tool-and-die industries is carried out. Ion-plasma techniques application patterns for creating small thin-walled shell structures from layered metal-composites and new installations for combined ion-plasma surface modification are shown.

Barabanova O. A., Nabatchikov S. V., Sapozhnikov S. Z., Mityakov V. Yu., Mityakov A. V. — Diffusion welding in gradient heat metering

Gradient transducer application in heat metering at temperatures up to 1300 K has no world analogs because up to date gradient heat flow transducers (GHFT) have been generally made from monocrystalline bismuth. However GHFT from bismuth are functional only till the melting point of bismuth (541 K). Different metallic layered composites have been tested, both compacted and porous. Volt-watt sensitivity of the gradient heat flow transducers at 300 K for different metallic layered composites changed from 0,02 to 0,4 mV/W.

Manuylova N. B. — On the issue of ironwork higher ecological compatibility prospects

Prospect of ferrous metallurgy enterprises ecological compatibility rise are considered. Naturally environmental requirements implementation results in higher capital expenditure and current costs, and therefore in manufacture rise in cost and produce competitiveness reduction. As a way out there may be only raw material consumption cut-down due to more intensive processing of the raw material and discharge by using more advanced processes. It is necessary to reach balance between ecology-oriented and resource-saving technology. Solid-phase coke-free iron production methods may be used as a basic process instead of blast-furnace process.
