Olshanskaya T. V., Dushina A. Yu., Fedoseeva E. M., Trushnikov D. N. — Study of the influence of technological methods on the formation of structure and properties during the additive growth of products from chromium-nickel steels of the austenitic class by plasma surfacing

The paper describes the effect of changes in the thermal power of the source in time through current modulation, by the example of plasma surfacing, as well as changes in the initial structure due to layer-by-layer cold forging of surfacing layers, by the example of plasma surfacing with a melting wire (Plasma-MIG).It was established that the formation of the structure is followed by transcrystallization of the surfaced metal. It is shown that the use of vibration influence on the liquid pool by means of current modulation during plasma surfacing helps to partially suppress the transcrystallization of the surfaced metal. Thus, the direction of growth of columnar crystallites changes relative to the previous layer, which forms a melkodendritic structure and leads to a change in the mechanical characteristics.

Lukin M. A. — The process of flashing during flash butt welding of a package of aluminum sheets with a steel rod

The process of flashing during welding of a package of aluminum sheets with a steel rod, which is used at the enterprises of the aluminum industry during the installation of electrolyzers, has been studied. The change in the ratio of the maximum depth of the melted metal of a steel billet to a decrease in the length of the aluminum package during reflow D from the time of reflow was studied. Using a Cameca microanalyzer, an X-ray spectral microanalysis of the distribution of elements in a welded joint of a steel-aluminum joint was performed.

The influence of the rotation of the slag bath on the structure formation of high-chromium cast iron deposited with a large-section electrode in a three-section current-supplying mold ∅180 mm is investigated. It has been established that, regardless of the presence or absence of bath rotation, a martensitic matrix is formed in the cast iron structure.
Electroslag surfacing with slag bath rotation provides a dispersed structure with approximately 3 times smaller sizes of eutectic colonies compared to surfacing in the absence of bath rotation. The increased dispersion of the structure contributes to an increase in the macrohardness of cast iron by approximately 3 units HRC.

Kanaev A. T., Topolyansky P. A., Gulyarenko A. A., Sarsembaeva T. E. — Study of the effect of plasma hardening on the characteristics of the working surfaces of plow shares and cultivator paws

The influence of plasma hardening on the structure and microhardness of the working surfaces of plow shares and paws of cultivators of soil-cutting machines is considered. It is shown that surface plasma hardening of these high-wear parts in a hardened zone ∼0.8 mm thick results in the formation of a gradient-layered (mixed) structure with high microhardness of the structural components. It has been established that the maximum heating temperature of steel, the time of its stay above the upper critical temperature Ac3, the heating and cooling rates are determined by a combination of the parameters of the plasma treatment (hardening) mode and are interconnected. The novelty of the work lies in the fact that by changing the heating parameters (heating rate and holding time) it is possible to control the grain size of austenite by the time the (α → γ) transformation begins, and by changing the cooling parameters, to control the dispersion of martensite during the reverse (γ → α) transformation, therefore, the properties of the material being processed.

Ryumshin V. Yu., Chevychelov S. A. — Study of the possibility of using an activating flux to increase the productivity of argon arc welding of heat-resistant nickel alloy KhN60VT

The article presents experimental data on the study of the use of an activating flux to increase the productivity of argon-arc welding of heat-resistant nickel alloys using the KhN60VT alloy as an example. A comparison of the process of welding samples with and without the use of an activating flux is presented, which in turn affected the penetration ability of the welding arc. Particular attention is paid to the quality of welded joints, mechanical properties and chemical composition.

Volkov S. S., Konovalov A. V., Nerovny V. M., Bigus G. A. — Quality control of welded joints of polymeric materials by their light transmission

There was offered a new non-destructive-controlling method of welding joints of polymer laminas and synthetic fibers. It is based on measuring the changing light flow going through the welded seam and gives results that are reliable and can be sufficiently reconstructed independently of welded seam types. There was specified the correlation between translucence of welded seams and welding time for different types ofjoints. The interrelation between translucence of welded seams and breaking load was set up in order to control the quality of welded joints.
